National History Day Contest Registration Information

After completing their research and creating their entries, students present their entries at district or regional contests. Success at the regional contest enables them to present their entries at the state level, where finalists will be selected for advancement to the national contest.

Check with your district, regional, or state coordinator for the contest registration deadlines in your state.

Regional and state contest information

Students who compete at district and state contests and qualify for the NHD national contest will receive information from their state coordinator on how to register for the NHD national contest.
