A Teacher's First Experience with National History Day

National History Day is an exhilarating and challenging program. The authentic assessment model built into the program is very conducive to curriculum integration. However, the program can be difficult to implement the first year without guidance. We recommend first year teachers join the H-History Day listserv and the the NHD Educator Forum to discuss questions with veteran teachers.

The story below explains the learning experience of an Arizona teacher who used National History Day in her classroom for the first time.
