For those who are interested in learning more about how to access the Library's site, they reccommend a self-paced program they have available for free and without registration. It is called the "Introduction to the Library of Congress" and can be accessed HERE. Though produced for teachers, this program is appropriate for your students as well. Chapters 3 and 5 focus on accessing materials.
